Frauenplatz 13
Isabella Hund’s gallery for contemporary jewellery and her workshop have existed in the centre of Munich close to the Frauenkirche since 1997. The sales area was designed by the architects Landau + Kindelbacher in cooperation with Lene Jünger as interior designer.
Minimalism and transparency is what the gallery owner requested from this team of architects as defining features: suspended glass showcases provide an unimpeded view of the jewellery and the space. The gallery is unpretentious and clear-cut, modern and unfussy. Looking at it, Mies van der Rohe’s motto “less is more” comes to mind.
Isabella Hund only exhibits high-quality contemporary jewellery made by more than 70 outstanding jewellery artists and designers from Germany and abroad. The works of avant-garde jewellery designers are exhibited on a regular basis.
